1840 to 1860 saw some of the most famous hunters travel to Africa. People like Gordon Cumming, William Cotton Oswell, Samuel Baker, David Livingstone, Cornwallis Harris and William Charles Baldwin all came to Africa and made their names famous through their legendary adventures.
Drawn by Baldwin’s hunting tales; the most famous African adventurer, Frederick Courteney Selous, arrived in Africa in 1871 at the age of nineteen with just £400 and a Reilly double breech-loading rifle.
Now, African Trackers & Trophies provide a special category of hunting for those who consider themselves to be made of the same stuff as these legends.
African Trackers & Trophies will, while never compromising your safety, take you into wild areas where you will live like these legends as you survive off what you can carry or shoot while honing your bush craft and tracking skills; hunting Africa’s wild animals for food and exceptional trophies.
If you can walk for days, endure discomfort, sleep around a fire and can survive without modern conveniences for days on end, we will provide you with the adventure of a lifetime. One that almost no modern hunter ever experiences!
